Himalayan Dum - Brand Story

In the quiet embrace of the Himalayas, where time slows down and nature speaks in flavours , a different kind of cooking has always existed - patient, soulful and deeply rooted in tradition.

At Himalayan Dum we bring together two timeless legacies.

One is the rich heritage of biryani - a dish that traveled across centuries, perfected in royal kitchen through the art of Dum Cooking , where every grain of rice absorbs layers of aroma, spice and emotions.

The other is the wisdom of hills - where food is not rushed, but slow cooked over gentle fire, allowing ingredients to breathe , blend and transform into something nourishing and pure.

Where the Hills meet the Handi

Ours biryani is not just made - it is crafted in the spirit of the mountains.

We use

1. Pahadi Potatoes - Earthy, Wholesale and Naturally Rich.

2. Fresh Hills Vegetables - Carrots, Beans and Seasonal Produce.

3. Rare Himalayan Herbs like Jambu  for subtle and authentic aroma.

4. Lingad ( fiddlehead fern ) - a delicacy from the forest

5. Gucchi Mushrooms - One of the world most prized wild ingredients

6. And most importantly Bilona desi ghee -  Slow Churned for purity, Richness and better digestion

Each ingredients are sourced with care , inspired by the local Himalayan farms and forests , keeping the connection to nature alive.

The Art of Slow Down

In the Hills, the cooking has always been about patience and perfection. we follow the same philosophy
